Higurashi When They Cry Hou
I couldn't think a Higurashi chapter would top everything else, but this chapter takes the cake. Rena's character was already amazing enough, but it turns her from great to the best. A heavily relatable character that struggles from mental illness and pain by a divorce.
Everything was glorious from the start to end from Rena's apology to Keiichi's speech about friendship, the psychological horror that sends chills down your spine when Rika finds Rena alone in the junkyard, the increasing tension of Rena's paranoia with a detail of her text color changing from a bright pink to a bright red to signify insanity, Keiichi's miracle of realizing the sins he committed in another world, and the confrontation of Rena in the school when she held them hostage is all played perfectly. It's THE introduction to the answers you all need for the final 2 episodes of the answer arc.
I finished it this week recently, and I experienced every emotion ever and I'm going to cherish those feelings whenever I felt like rereading this vn series ever again. I love this visual novel and the When They Cry series so much.

After how disappointed I was with Meakashi, which focused on all the aspects of Higurashi that I didn't feel strongly about, I expected all the Answer Arcs to be mildly disappointing even if overall quite good. I was wrong, Tsumihoroboshi is a complete 180, it takes all the aspects I loved about Higurashi and presents it all in a slick, exciting but still melancholic and macabre way, without being extreme for the sake of being extreme.
